The Ion Torrent Genexus Dx Library Strips 1 and 2-HD kit provides eight each of the strips required to perform automated library preparation using the Genexus Dx Integrated Sequencer. This kit, combined with Genexus Dx Barcodes 1-32 HD, supports automated preparation and normalization of up to 32 single-pool Ion AmpliSeq HD libraries.

The Genexus Dx Integrated Sequencer is an in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical device intended to be used by trained personnel in a professional laboratory environment for automated, qualitative targeted sequencing of human DNA or RNA extracted from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tumor tissue samples or plasma samples.

How should I prep Genexus Dx Library Strips 1 and 2-HD for use on the Genexus Dx platform?

Remove the library strips from their boxes in the refrigerator or freezer, and prepare them for loading in the sequencer.
- Genexus Dx Strip 1 needs to equilibrate to room temperature for 30 mins.
- Genexus Dx Strip 2-HD needs to thaw on ice for at least 30 mins. Keep the strips on ice until you load them in the sequencer. Confirm that the strip contents are completely thawed before installing in the sequencer.
Genexus Dx Strip 1 contains magnetic beads in one or two positions, yellow or brown in color, that sometimes get trapped in the upper "keyhole" of the tube. Dislodge these beads from the keyhole by inverting each strip 3-4 times, before installing the strip in the sequencer.
