Gentamicin sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits the growth of both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and it also inhibits several strains of mycoplasma in tissue culture. It has been observed to inhibit DNase I with an IC50 of 0.57 mM.
