Host: Purified from HEK 293 cell culture supernatant. Liquid. In PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Giantin, the largest Golgi membrane protein, is C-terminally anchored to cis- and medial-Golgi membranes and forms a long ~250nm coiled-coil rod that directly interacts with microtubules in a cell-cycle regulated way. It is an excellent marker for mammalian golgi complex. It is also an antigen in chronic rheumatoid arthritis and in the autoimmune disease Sjoegren syndrome.
