Gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) is a secretin family endocrine peptide hormone produced in the small intestine that induces insulin secretion in a glucose-dependent manner and in response to eating. It also weakly inhibits gastric acid secretion. Acts as an agonist for GIPR. Provided as 0.5 mg of dry powder. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
