Diagnostic reagent for quantitative in vitro determination of Glucose in animal serum, heparin plasma or urine on photometric systems. For veterinary or research use only. Glucose concentration is mainly measured in diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes mellitus treatment. Detection of neonatal hypoglycemia, the exclusion of pancreatic islet cell carcinoma as well as the evaluation of carbohydrate metabolism in various diseases represent further applications. Method: Enzymatic UV test using hexokinase. The reagent has a high specificity and wide measuring range (2 to 900 mg/dL) and is formulated according to IFCC/AACC gold standard methodology. Reagent 1 contains TRIS, Mg2+, ATP and NAD, reagent 2 contains Mg2+, Hexokinase and Glucose-6-Phospatedehydrogenase. Reagents must be stored refrigerated.
