  • Downregulates the MDR1 promoter region.
  • Suppresses the mRNA expression of Bcl-2 and induces the mRNA expression of Bax.
  • Increases the Bax-to-Bcl-2 ratio and the mRNA levels of p53, caspase-9, and -3.
  • Can control multidrug resistance (MDR) by modulating P-gp and MRPs, and regulating apoptosis-related pathways when combined with anticancer drugs.
