Durable plastic construction with nesting ability makes it easy to use and simple to store.

  • Three-piece cylindrical construction
  • Inner and outer removable cylinders to collect rain and rain overflow
  • Inner cylinder features a built-in 4 in. (100mm) diameter funnel with dual scale (mm and inch markings)
  • Required in GLOBE protocols: precipitation, liquid, solid

Placement:
On a post as close to the ground as practical. The top of the rain gauge should be 10cm higher than the top of the post. If possible, cut the top of the post at a 45° angle slopping away from the rain gauge so that drops will splash away from the gauge.
