HEK 293 STF is an epithelial-like cell line that was isolated in 2002 from the kidney of an embryo. This cell line was stably cotransfected with (1) a 7 x LEF/TCF sites, a minimal thymidine kinase promoter and (2) a pSV2-neo resistance plasmid exhibiting G418 resistance. This cell line was deposited by J Nathans and can be used in assay development research.
