A three-step procedure for differential staining of blood smears that is used extensively in FNA cytology.

  • Entire procedure takes 30 seconds
  • Air dried specimens are fixed in Solution I, then dipped in Solutions II and III
  • Can also be used as a special stain for Helicobacter pylori
