HisDetector Nickel-HRP offers a fast, sensitive, single-step method for detecting recombinant His-tagged proteins. His-tagged proteins have a high affinity to nickel (Ni2+) ions. Nickel-NTA (nitrilotriacetic acid) conjugated to horeseradish peroxidase (HRP) will therefore bind directly to the His-tag, eliminating the need for primary and secondary antibodies. This results in assay simplification and reduced detection times. Nickel-HRP offers excellent sensitivity and low background in applications such as Western Blotting (see KPL Application Note). Product may also be used in other application (ELISA, immunohistochemistry, etc.) where direct detection of His-tagged proteins is required. Nickel-HRP is optimized for use with both chemiluminescent and colorimetric substrates.
