Thermo Scientific NIST™-traceable Holmium Oxide Solution Standard verifies wavelength accuracy of UV-Visible spectrophotometers.

Holmium Oxide in Perchloric Acid Solution is a preferred standard for verifying the wavelength accuracy of a spectrophotometer according to international pharmacopoeia guidelines.
  • Permanently sealed in a quartz cuvette allowing it to be used into the deep UV range
  • Exhibits sharp, stable peaks within the range of 219 to 650nm—can be easily correlated to wavelengths of the peak maxima
  • Readings observed for each peak are verified against expected values on the certificate supplied with the standard
  • Readings not within the expected range may be indicative of an instrument performance error

This standard is qualified for use on instruments having a spectral bandwidth of <3nm.
