Two built-in omnidirectional microphones and speakers—one in each earpiece—let wearer discern the direction of any sound, thereby increasing worker safety in case of emergency warnings or alarms. Background noise of up to 85dB is electronically subdued, maintaining sound at a comfortable 82dB level. Any noise exceeding the 85dB maximum triggers an automatic shutdown. When sound levels return to normal, unit immediately returns to normal mode.
