This Cogent RP C18 ABX™ Column is a premium value and used in HPLC with extreme pH (2-12) in the Mobile Phase for Acidic or Basic Compounds. It is specially end capped (bulky) and is bonded with an 18 carbon aliphatic hydrocarbon to the highest purity silica available. This column is ideal as an Alternate in USP Methods that use the L1 Classification with acids or bases with a very high or a very low pKa. This Column is very rugged and can be used in typical Reversed Phase HPLC. Used for hydrophobic or neutral compounds in Reversed Phase, this Octadecyl Phase is excellent for long chain fatty acids. A very popular column size, this shorter and narrow-bore column provides good run times but requires a pump that can precisely deliver, and a flow cell that is made for reduced flow rates with lower volumes. This column size is excellent, and a favorite for LCMS.
