Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (89%), Rat (89%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-51934. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

IFT43, encoded by C14ORF179, is a subunit of the intraflagellar transport complex A (IFT-A) of primary cilia. The IFT-A is implicated in retrograde ciliary transport along axonemal microtubules. Defects in subunits of IFT-A has been associated with skeletal ciliopathies, including Sensenbrenner syndrome, Jeune syndrome, and Ellis-van-Creveld syndrome. Mutations in C14ORF179 has been linked to Sensenbrenner syndrome. (21378380).
