STEMCELL Technologies Human Recombinant Fractalkine (CX3CL1), Size: 25 µg

Supplier: STEMCELL Technologies 78051.1
Mediate cell migration and adhesion with fractalkine (White & Greaves. Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol, 2012). Fractalkine (CX3CL1) is characterized by a C-X3-C cysteine motif within the chemokine domain (Bazan et al. Nature, 1997). The chemokine domain is connected to a mucin-like stalk, followed by a transmembrane region and a C-terminal intracellular domain (Jones et al. Mol Interv, 2010). Cleavage at the base of the stalk generates a soluble chemokine, which acts as a chemoattractant of target cells (Apostolakis & Spandidos. Acta Pharmacol Sin, 2013). The protein signals through interaction with CX3CR1, which is expressed on monocytes, NK cells, T cells, microglia, and smooth muscle cells. Human recombinant fractalkine from STEMCELL comes lyophilized with ≥ 95% purity; EC50 ≤ 1.5 μg/mL; endotoxin levels verified ≤ 0.2 EU/μg protein. Alternative names: C3Xkine, Chemokine (C-X3-C motif) ligand 1, FKN, Neurotactin, NTN, NTT, SCYD1, Small inducible cytokine subfamily D member 1.
