Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (40%), Rat (40%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-62277. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

VENTX is a member of the Lymphoid-enhancing factor/T-cell factors (LEF1/TCF), which are a high-mobility group of transcriptional factors that play essential roles in cell fate determination during early embryogenesis and ontogenesis. VENTX is a member of the Vent family of homeodomain proteins. It is a novel LEF/TCF-associated transcriptional modulator. VENTX is predominately expressed in hematopoietic cells. VENTX may function as a transcriptional repressor and be involved in mesodermal patterning and hemapoietic stem cell maintenance, and has been suggested to have a potential role in the hematopoietic malignancies.
