Supplier: BioVendor, LLC RP17911551MG
Hyaluronidase-1 (HYAL1) Human, HEK293 Recombinant Protein (1 mg): a single, glycosylated, polypeptide chain (22-435 a.a), total of 420 amino acids, MW 46.9 kDa. Fused to a 6 a.a. His-tag at C-terminus. Sterile filtered solution (0.25 mg/ml) contains 10% Glycerol and PBS, pH 7.4. Purity >90%. SUMMARY: hHyal-1 is a 435 a.a. residue protein exhibiting a narrow acidic pH activity (34.5), consistent with the low pH in the lysosome. It contains 10 cysteines, 3 predicted N-glycosylation sites, and an N-terminal ER signal sequence. It cleaves hyaluronic acid (HA) substrates of all sizes into short chains, down to tetrasaccharides. Increased HYAL1 mRNA expression and higher hHyal-1 levels are documented in many diseases, and in bladder and prostate cancers. Inactivating mutations of hHyal-1 are linked to genetic disorder MPS IX (hyaluronidase deficiency). OTHER NAMES: Hyaluronoglucosaminidase-1, Lung carcinoma protein 1, LuCa-1, Plasma Hyaluronidase 1, MPS9, NAT6, Tumor suppressor LUCA 1
