This compound generates strong green fluorescence upon reaction with intracellular peroxynitroso through a hydroxyl radical reaction. HPF is suitable for applications such as fluorescence microscopy, high-throughput imaging, luciferase microplate readers, or flow cytometry. It has an excitation/emission (Ex/Em) of 490/515 nm.
