QuickZyme Hydroxyproline Assay Kit, 96-Assays. Quantitative hydroxyproline measurement for collagen analysis. The ONLY hydroxyproline-based assay that does NOT require a drying step following acid hydrolysis of collagen, resulting in a fast (<2 hrs), sensitive and easy (96-well plate format) assay. Broad application: conditioned media, cells/cell extracts, tissues/tissue extracts. Species & collagen type independent. Dynamic range: 6-300 uM. Sensitivity: 2.4 uM. Sample vol. 5-35 ul. Measures total hydroxyproline present in the sample. If this hydroxyproline is obtained upon hydrolysis of collagen, it represents all types of collagen present without discriminating between the types of collagen, procollagen, mature collagen and collagen degradation products. Hydroxyproline in tissue hydrolysates can be used as a direct measure of the amount of collagen present.
