HyStem contains thiolated hyaluronic acid for easy 3D cell culture. HyStem version 2.0 is reconstituted with a buffered 1X PBS. The resulting components will also result in a pH neutral isotonic salt hydrogel. The ending pH, osmo, and rheological properties are the same from Version 1.0 to Version 2.0. HyStem hydrogels are xeno-free and completely customizable. The hydrogel is formed when the crosslinking agent, Extralink-Lite (PEGDA) is added to a mixture of Glycosil (thiol-modified hyaluronan). Recommended for applications requiring specific attachment factor optimization as well as non-adherent cell culture, cellular applications. Extracellular matrix proteins can be mixed into the hydrogel and incorporated non-covalently before gelation. The HyStem Hydrogel Kits are optimal for culturing stem cells whose natural environment is rich in hyaluronic acid (HA).
