Staphylococcus lugdunensis (coagulase negative Staphylococcus species) consists of gram-positive bacteria with spherical cells that appear in clusters

  • Biosafety level 2 microorganism
  • Available in 1mL frozen aliquot
  • 16S sequencing used to confirm identification of organism
  • Gram staining with additional culturing for monitoring of purity of culture
  • Glycerol (15%) used as cryoprotectant for freezing medium
