This polyclonal F(ab ft.)2 fragment recognizes mouse IgM. Reactivity to human and bovine has been removed. This polyclonal antibody can be used to crosslink and activate B lymphocytes. Applications Reported: This polyclonal F(ab ft.)2 Goat Anti-Mouse IgM has been reported for use in functional assays (such as B cell activation). Concentrations should be determined empirically for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Applications Tested: F(ab ft.)2 Anti-Mouse IgM, u chain specific Functional Grade Purified has been tested by in vitro stimulation of mouse splenocytes. Endotoxin: Less than 0.5 ng/µg antibody as determined by the LAL assay. Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin Level: Less than 0.5 ng/µg antibody, as determined by LAL assay. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.

IgM is expressed intracellularly, during early stages of B lymphopoiesis, and then on the surface of more mature B cells in the bone marrow and peripheral B cells.
