The WIDIA Indexable Thread Turning Tool 287DW6 is a high performance carbide insert thread turning tool for external threading applications. It features a DNMG 432 carbide insert with a TiAlN coating for wear resistance when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, hardened steel, and other materials. The tool has a 1/2" shank diameter and can cut unified thread sizes from 1/4"-20 to 1-1/2"-6 as well as metric thread sizes from M1 to M24. The tool comes with one DNMG 432 carbide insert and can achieve optimal surface finishes and dimensional accuracy in threading operations. Its precision ground insert pocket provides accurate seating and rigidity.
