Waters TA Instruments Insulated Solvent Trap for the Discovery Core Rheometer prevents evaporation at the sample edge in cone and plate or parallel plate configurations. When used with a solvent trap-compatible geometry, the solvent trap flange extends into the geometry solvent well which can be filled with liquid to create a seal around the sample, without physical contact with the measuring tool. The split-cover design fits closely around the Peltier plate. A conductive interior and insulated exterior maximize temperature uniformity around the sample.
