Intracoolers from PerkinElmer are subambient devices that automatically control the flow of coolant through a circulating chamber attached to the PYRIS 1 DSC, PYRIS 6 DSC, DSC 7, TMA 7, or DMA 7 analyzers. They are either single or dual-stage mechanical compression refrigeration units with cylindrical expansion chamber and special bolts and insulation for mounting directly on the sample holder block of the PYRIS 1 DSC, PYRIS 6 DSC, and DSC 7, or the furnace assembly of the DMA 7 or TMA 7. Intracooler 1 permits operation of all analyzers from -30° C; the Intracooler 2 from -65° C.
