Description

The LACTOFERRIN-SCAN test is a quantitative ELISA for measuring concentrations of fecal lactoferrin, a marker for fecal leukocytes and an idicator of intestinal inflammation. The test can be used as an aid in assessing when an IBD patient is in remission and has responded to treatment. Developed and Manufactured by TECHLAB, Inc.

  • The test can be used as an in vitro diagnostic aid to distinguish patients with active inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) from those with noninflammatory irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • The test can be used to assess when an IBD patient is in confirmed remission and has responded to treatment.
  • Standard curve allows for exact quantification of lactoferrin in samples
  • Assay can be run on the benchtop or automated with Dynex™ automated systems    
  • Works with any sample consistency
  • Samples can be refrigerated or stored at room temperature with no loss of sensitivity for two weeks
    • Yields results in 75 minutes
