The RB6-8C5 monoclonal antibody reacts strongly with mouse Ly6G and weakly with mouse Ly6C (Gr-1), a 21-25 kDa GPI-anchored cell surface protein. Ly6G is expressed by various myeloid lineage cells, including monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, and neutrophils, serving as a marker for mature granulocytes and peripheral neutrophils. This antibody inhibits the binding of 1A8, which specifically reacts with mouse Ly6G.
