Description

Iron Stain is used in the histologic staining of iron in tissue or blood and bone marrow films. It is based on the well known Prussian blue reaction in which ionic iron reacts with acid ferrocyanide producing a blue color.

Each kit includes:

  • Potassium Ferrocyanide Solution, 4% w/v (1x 250 mL)
  • Hydrochloric Acid Solution, 1.2 mmol (1x 250 mL).
  • Pararosaniline hydrochloride, 1% w/v, (1x 30 mL).
