KCL22-s is a cell line exhibiting lymphoblast-like morphology that was isolated in 1999 from the pleural effusion of a 32-year-old female with chronic myeloid leukemia at blast crisis. The paired KCL22-s and KCL22-r clones are useful cell line models of sensitivity and resistance to a tyrosine kinase inhibitor used in the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia. It can be used for immune system disorder research.
