KIMBLE™ KONTES™ Antibiotic Moisture Content Flasks are designed for determining moisture loss on drying in tablets, troches, or capsules. Manufactured from 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass conforming to USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements.

• Designed for determining moisture loss on drying in tablets, troches, or capsules
• Manufactured from 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass conforming to USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements
• Sample is weighed, transferred to the flask and placed in a vacuum oven
• Drying is performed at 60°C and a pressure of 5 mm or less of mercury for three hours
• Percent moisture loss is then calculated from the dried sample weight
