Specifically interacts with the bacterial elongation factor EF-Tu and prevents the release of EF-Tu from the bacterial ribosome after GTP hydrolysis. In the absence of ribosomes it induces EF-Tu-dependent hydrolysis of GTP. Animal growth promoter used in poultry breeding.
