KN-93 phosphate is a cell-permeable, reversible, and competitive inhibitor of calmodulin-dependent kinase type II (CaMKII) with a Ki of 370 nM. It induces G1 cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, and blocks cell growth stimulated by various growth factors in NIH 3T3 cells. This compound also inhibits H+, K+-ATPase activity and helps prevent increased LV developed pressure during action potential prolongation.
