It is used in the production of cobalt oxazoline palladacycles complex, which acts as a catalyst in the rearrangement of prochiral N-aryl trifluoroacetimidates to allylic amides yielded in significantly higher enantioselectivities with the (S)-(_pR)-diasteroisomer.
