Description

Selective media for monitoring the growth of gram negative bacteria in industrial fluids

The addition of Polymixin in the CLED agar creates a selective medium for the growth of Enterococci, Staphlococci, Proteus, and Yeast while preventing the growth of most E. coli, Klebsiella, and Enterobacter. The neutral red indicator included in the media causes the colonies of lactose fermenting bacteria to appear pink or red.
