Description

Solution that is of completely non-animal origin, intended for cell dissociation

  • NAO trypsin for adherent cell lines: produced in a plant-based system, without using any animal origin components
  • Ready to use
  • Active ingredient is TrypZean, a recombinant bovine trypsin expressed in corn
  • TrypZean solution is supplemented with EDTA, which helps for cell detachment by catching CA and MG ions
  • Convenient for serum-free and serum supplemented cell cultures
  • No protocol change for users of porcine trypsin
  • Inhibition of TrypZean has to be performed the same way as for the native form, using either serum or classical inhibitors
  • pH range for use is 7.1 to 7.9
  • Solution contains phenol red, allowing for detection of pH shift
