Luteolin-3′,7-diglucoside is a glycoside isolated from *R. luteolin* that significantly inhibits cataracts induced in ovine lenses and inhibits the activity of *Ureaplasma urealyticum* ATCC and clinical strains. It works by counteracting IL1-induced tissue factor expression in monocytes, thus inhibiting procoagulant activity. This compound also demonstrates a significant ability to inhibit cataracts in ovine lenses when incubated in hypotonic hepes buffered solution.
