Mouse C57 Whole Brain Total RNA is extracted from freshly harvested normal healthy tissue using classical guanidine isothiocyanate–phenol: chloroform extraction method which allows the rapid isolation of total RNA including microRNAs. RNA is treated with RNase-free DNase-1 to remove residual DNA, precisely quantified by NanoDrop, and stored at -80oC.
