m Endo LES Agar, 20mL, 60 x 15mm Plates, 10/Pk is a selective and differential culture medium formulated for the detection and enumeration of coliform bacteria, including Escherichia coli, in water samples using membrane filtration methods. The medium contains lactose along with sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium deoxycholate to suppress non target organisms while supporting the growth of Gram negative lactose fermenting coliforms that produce red colonies with a characteristic metallic sheen. The compact 60 x 15mm plate format supports smaller membrane filters while maintaining the full 20mL fill volume for reliable colony development. Each plate is sterile and ready to use for drinking water testing, wastewater monitoring, and environmental microbiology workflows requiring consistent and reproducible microbial detection.
