M-MLV Reverse transcriptase (M-MLV RT) is an enzyme derived from the Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus (MoMLV). This reverse transcriptase facilitates the synthesis of complementary DNA (cDNA) from an RNA template, crucial for various molecular biology applications.

  • Suitable for total RNA 10 pg-5 μg and poly(A) RNA 10 pg-500 ng templates
  • Can be used with Oligo(dT)18, Random Primer Mix, or Gene Specific Primer
  • Reaction temperature can be adjusted up to 55°C for complex templates
  • Extended reverse transcription time supports longer cDNA synthesis (>5 kb)
  • Requires RNase-free conditions and consumables for optimal results
  • cDNA product is stable at -20°C or -80°C for storage, or ready for immediate PCR (qPCR) use
  • Recommended cDNA product volume for PCR (qPCR) reactions not to exceed one-tenth of the total reaction volume
