The FGK4.5 monoclonal antibody targets mouse CD40 (Bp50), a 48 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein of the TNFR superfamily. CD40 is expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and other cell types, acting as a costimulatory molecule vital for APC activation, B cell activation, differentiation, and Ig isotype switching. This agonistic antibody activates CD40 expressing APCs, promotes anti-tumor T cell responses, and can inhibit CD40/CD154 interaction.
