The GL-1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD86, also known as B7-2. CD86 is an 80 kDa Ig superfamily member expressed by activated T and B cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells. This antibody blocks CD86 in vivo and inhibits the priming of cytotoxic T cells.
