This rabbit monoclonal antibody is designed to detect total MAdCAM-1 protein in human samples. The antibody recognizes transfected levels of total MAdCAM-1 by western blot and endogenous levels of total MAdCAM-1 by immunohistochemistry (paraffin). Produced via immunization with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of the human protein, it exhibits an observed molecular weight of 60–85 kDa, which deviates from the predicted 40 kDa due to glycosylation.
