Description
Magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl2.6H2O) has been used to prepare renaturation buffer that is employed for the renaturation of denatured peptidoglycan (PGN) hydrolytic enzymes. It may be used as a catalyst in the preparation of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-(1H)-ones. The result of altering poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) films with magnesium chloride hexahydrate has been investigated. Its ability to reduce the flammability of cotton fabrics has also been studied.
