Description

Used for the demonstration of spirochetes, such as those associated with Lyme disease, and other nonfilamentous bacteria

  • Solution is prepared by dissolving gum mastic in absolute alcohol and is then filtered through Whatman 4 filter paper and is stable for six months when stored in a refrigerator
  • The solution is used in conjunction with other reagents to create a reducing solution that facilitates the staining process
  • A component for the following MasterTech Stain Kits: Steiner Stain Kit, Dieterles Stain Kit, and the Modified Genta Triple Stain Kit
