  • This kit includes a 15 min. microwave procedure and the traditional one hour and thirty minute procedure
  • The MasterTech G.M.S. Staining Kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to the Grocott Methenamine Silver Technique and differs from this technique through the use of a stabilized, pre-measured Methenamine Silver Compound, instead of Methenamine Borate, Hexamine, or Silver Nitrate Solutions; which benefits the end user through ease of use and a longer shelf life
  • A Methenamine Silver Developer Solution serves as the primary stain, with Gold Chloride toning the tissue sections, producing gray to black fungi and Pneumocystis jirovecii against a green background counterstained with Light Green
  • Liter Kit Consists of: Methenamine Silver Compound 40 vials (10 vials make 500 mL working solution, includes Sodium Borate), 5% Chromic Acid liter, 1% Sodium Bisulfite liter, 0.3% Gold Chloride liter, 2% Sodium Thiosulfate liter, Light Green Counterstain liter and plastic slide jars
  • Liter Stain Kit yields between 240-800 slides; slide yields assume maximum slides stained per run, maximum runs per use - Actual Slide Yields may vary
