Description

StatLab MasterTech Modified Brown-Hopps Gram Stain Kit - stains for gram positive and gram negative bacteria in just under 20 minutes

  • This 100 mL stain kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to various Brown-Hopps staining procedures
  • Basic Fuchsin and Crystal Violet both serve as primary stains producing blue stained gram positive bacteria along with red gram negative bacteria and nuclei while the Picric Acid/Acetone provides a yellow counterstain
  • 100 mL Stain Kit yields between 36 and 45 slides and consists of - 1% Crystal Violet 100 mL, Universal Iodine Solution 100 mL, 0.1% Basic Fuchsin 100 mL, Gallegos Solution 100 mL and Picric Acid/Acetone 100 mL
  • All kit components should be stored in a dry environment between 15°C and 30°C
  • Please review all component labels to ensure correct storage temperature
