Stains for gram positive and gram negative bacteria in just under 20 min.

  • This kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to various Brown-Hopps staining procedures
  • Basic Fuchsin and Crystal Violet both serve as primary stains, producing blue stained gram positive bacteria, along with red gram negative bacteria and nuclei, while the Picric Acid/Acetone provides a yellow counterstain
  • Pint Kit Consists of: 1% Crystal Violet Pint, Universal Iodine Solution Pint, 0.1% Basic Fuchsin Pint, Gallego's Solution Pint and Picric Acid/Acetone Pint
  • Pint Stain Kit yields between 144-225 slides and slide yields assume maximum slides stained per run, maximum runs per use - actual slide yields may vary
