  • 10% Potassium Ferrocyanide can be used in some Iron Stain Procedures
  • Used for the detection of ferric iron
  • It combines with ferric ions in the tissue to form a bright blue pigment called Prussian blue
  • This method is used to differentiate collagen and muscle fibers in tissue sections and is especially helpful in studying pathologies of the heart, liver, and kidney
