  • 5% Sodium Thiosulfate is a component for the following MasterTech Stain Kits: Bodian 2-Hour Microwave Stain Kit, Fontana-Masson Stain Kit, Chandlers Precision Reticulum Stain Kit, Russell-Movat Pentachrome Stain Kit, Verhoeffs Elastic Stain Kit, and Von Kossa Stain Kit
  • Unreduced silver and excess gold are removed via a 5% sodium thiosulfate solution
  • The tissue section may then be counter-stained with nuclear fast-red or light-green
