MCDB 131 is suitable for other cells, including human omental microvascular cells, hepatocytes, myocytes, and smooth muscle cells. MCDB 131 has been used for definitive endoderm differentiation of hPSCs and as a basal medium for MSCs differentiation. MCDB 131 is formulated with several unique components, such as trace elements, putrescine, adenine, thymidine, and higher levels of some amino acids and vitamins.
